MANHATTAN, Kan. Junior Nataly Korobkova was recognized on Wednesday, Dec. 12^th, with selection to the 2007 American Volleyball Coaches Association Division I All-America Team. The 6-3 transfer from Krasnoyarsk, Russia, was voted to the 12-member third team and earns her first All-America accolade.

Korobkova becomes only the sixth Wildcat to be bestowed with an All-America honor and the eighth overall recognition. She is the first K-State student-athlete since Vali Hejjas in 2004 to be voted to the AVCA All-America Team and the first to capture the distinction in her inaugural season as a Wildcat.

The junior right side hitter caps off her debut season with the Wildcats as an All-American after being named to the AVCA All-Central Region Team, as well as earning All-Big 12 First Team honors. Korobkova was also the second Wildcat to be tabbed the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, joining Hejjas who was chosen in 2003.  

The Big 12 Conference finished with a total of 10 All-America selections, including five from Nebraska and four from Texas. Husker Sarah Pavan and Longhorn Juliann Faucette were listed on the first team, while Faucette also earned National Freshman of the Year.
