Lastra Receives Second Player of the Week Honors
IRVING, Texas A week after earning her first Defensive Player of the Week honors, Kansas State senior Angie Lastra secured her second from the Big 12 Conference office Monday. The accolade comes after a 29- and 36-dig effort during the week of Nov. 5th and marks the first time a Wildcat has received the weekly award two-consecutive weeks.

On the year, Lastra has now tallied 12 matches of 20 or more digs to tie for the most in a single season for KSU. She also sits with 491 season digs to sit at fourth most in a season and continues to increase her lead on the school all-time digs list with 1,948, ahead of second-place Kim Zschau by 370.
Lastra’s Defensive Player of the Week is her second this season and third weekly distinction of her career. A Wildcat has received the honor three times this season as Nataly Korobkova earned the offensive award September 4th. Three accolades ties for the most in a season for K-State as the 2001 and 2003 season also had a trio of awards.
