MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State has announced its home volleyball match against Texas Tech on October 20 is now scheduled for 3 p.m. The match time was originally to be determined due to the football schedule.
In addition to the home match against Texas Tech, the match time for the Wildcats’ road match against the Red Raiders has been set. K-State and Texas Tech will take the court at 6 p.m. in Lubbock on November 17.
The Texas Tech match on October 20 will also be K-State’s Dig Pink event in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Dig Pink initiative from the Side-Out Foundation. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match. The match will also be shown on K-StateHD.TV.
K-State is currently ranked No. 14 in this week’s AVCA Coaches Poll. The home match against Texas Tech will be the first home match in two weeks for K-State fans to see their team in action at Ahearn Field House. K-State has a midweek bye and hits the road to take on TCU this weekend before traveling to face the Kansas Jayhawks next Wednesday.
Wildcat fans are currently averaging more than 1,800 in attendance per match this season to rank 17th in the nation in attendance. Against No. 9 Texas on Saturday, more than 3,000 fans filled Ahearn Field House.
