Summer Gebhart joined the Kansas State volleyball team for the 2011 season and provides the team with care and preventions of injuries and oversees rehabilitation programs for the student-athletes.

Prior to joining the K-State staff, Gebhart served as the athletic trainer for volleyball, men's and women's track and field along with men's and women's swimming and diving at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. Gebhart provided injury rehab and prevention for the athletes and saw the volleyball team win the Colonial Athletic Association championship in 2009. The men's track and field team also won the outdoor CAA title in 2010 and 2011 with the women finishing second each year.

Gebhart received her master's degree in athletic training from Seton Hall in May of 2008. While at Seton Hall, she worked with all sports at St. Peter's College.

Prior to her stint in New Jersey, Gebhart graduated from the University of Texas in May of 2005 with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology.

She is a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA). Gebhart is a native of New Orleans, La.
