Three Wildcats Ranked In Top 30 Of ITA Fall Regional Rankings
Dec. 17, 2002 MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State tennis team had three Wildcats ranked in the Top 30 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Fall Regional rankings recently released. Senior Petra Sedlmajerova, who was ranked fifth in last year's preseason regional rankings, is listed 14th entering the spring season. Ranked 15th is sophomore Maria Rosenberg, who was ninth in the preseason last year, and 28th is junior Hayley McIver, who receives her first collegiate ranking. The Big 12 Conference had five players - Missouri's Urska Juric (2nd), Oklahoma's Anda Perianu (3rd), Oklahoma State's Linda Faltynkova (4th) and Kate Vasylyva (13th) and Kansas' Paige Brown (11th) ranked ahead of the Wildcats in the top 15. ITA preseason team rankings will be released Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2003. Kansas State opens its 2003 season on Friday, Jan. 24 when it hosts Brigham Young at 1 p.m. in Ahearn Field House. |
