All Three Wildcat Doubles Teams Advance To Final Four

MANHATTAN, Kan. - All three of Kansas State's doubles team advanced to the semifinals of the Wildcat Doubles Invitational at Cottonwood Racquet Club in Manhattan.

K-State's No. 1 doubles team of senior Alena Jecminkova and freshman Andrea Cooper, the No. 2 seed in the main draw, beat Missouri's Lucie Ruskova and Kristina Olshanskaya, 8-3. The duo will play Kansas State's No. 3 doubles team of sophomore Paulina Castillejos and freshman Maria Rosenberg. Castillejos and Rosenberg reached the semifinals with an 8-4 victory over Colorado's Lia Dimingo and Dominique Lemperle.

The Wildcats No. 2 doubles team and the No. 3 seed of senior Kathy Chuda and junior Petra Sedlmajerova beat Iowa State's Sharla Whitaker and Karin Westberg, 8-4 to advance to the semis against Oklahoma State's Dominka Olszewska and Ashleight Dolman, who upset ITA Regional Doubles Champions Urska Juric and Katka Sevcikova of Missouri 8-6.
