PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Kansas State senior Alena Jecminkova lost her consolation round match today in the main draw at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Riviera Women's All-American Championships at the Riviera Tennis Club.

Jecminkova, who is ranked No. 56, lost to No. 70 Jennifer McGaffigan, Illinois, 4-6, 0-6. The Olomouc, Czech Republic native, now has a 1-4 record this fall.

"Alena did well in the first set but not in the second," Kansas State head coach Steve Bietau said. "She just didn't have enough and went flat in the second."

Kansas State tennis team returns to the court on Oct. 25-28 when they participate in the ITA Regionals in Tulsa, Okla.
