BLOOMINGTON, Ind. Kansas State continued action at the Hoosier Classic on Saturday afternoon and Viviana Yrureta and Katerina Kudlackova each capped successful weekends in singles play.

Yrureta, after going 1-1 on Friday, won her only singles match in Flight A in a see-saw match over Milica Veselinovic of Iowa, 7-6 (6), 0-6, 1-0 (5). The senior from Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela finished the weekend with a 2-1 record and has now tallied a 4-2 record this fall.

Kudlackova won her first singles match of the fall yesterday afternoon against Ashley Moccia of Western Michigan (6-3, 7-6) and quickly won her second with K-State’s second 3-set affair of the afternoon with a score of 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 (7) over Momei Qu of Illinois. Kudlackova now has a mark of 2-4 this fall.

Also joining the ranks of the victorious for the first time this season in singles play was sophomore Natasha Vieira. Vieira broke through with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Marle Caujolle of Indiana State.

In doubles action, the pair of Antea Huljev and Kudlackova went 1-1 on the day with an 8-5 loss to Berdala/Stuckey of Indiana, but recovered for an 8-6 win over Qu/Meza Cuarda of Illinois in Flight A. The pairing of Huljev/Kudlackova is now 3-2 this fall.

In round robin doubles action, Vieira and Yrureta fell 8-2 to Guerrerio and Martin of Indiana, but registered a 9-8 (7-2) win over Suistun/Tokuda of Kansas. The tandem of Vieira/Yrureta is 2-3 this fall.

K-State will conclude action at the Hoosier Classic on Sunday with doubles play.
