COLUMBIA, Mo. The Kansas State Wildcat women’s tennis team won all six matches in straight sets to close out Sunday’s portion of the 2005 Missouri Mock Duals at Green Tennis Center.

The Wildcats improved their singles record to a combined 13-7 for the weekend with Tamar Kvaratskhelia and Katka Kudlackova both going 3-0. Jessica Simosa, Fernanda Da Valle and Tereza Prochazkova all finished with 2-1 individual records.

Kvaratskhelia beat Yelena Olshanskaya, 6-2, 6-2, to remain undefeated on the season. She opened the 2004-05 season with 11 consecutive wins as a freshman.

The Wildcats were swept in doubles play by Arkansas early Sunday morning but played closer matches than on Saturday when they were able to take one doubles win against the Lady Backs.

Kansas State was a combined 8-9 in doubles play and used nine different partner combinations. The wildcats were 7-2 in the 2004-05 season when winning the doubles point and 2-10 when losing the point.

Kvaratskhelia and Kudlackova started and finished the weekend as a doubles team and went 3-2 with their only losses coming to teams from Arkansas. Da Valle and Yrureta spent two days as doubles partners and finished with a 2-1 record for the weekend.

K-State returns to the courts on Friday when they begin play at the Indiana Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana.
