Wildcats Sweep Cyclones on Senior Day
The Wildcats (7-12, 3-7 Big 12) swept through doubles action, as senior Viviana Yrureta and sophomore Natasha Vieira got the Wildcats off on the right foot from the number three doubles position with an 8-3 win over Liza Wischer and Reka Keleman. Freshmen Antea Huljev and Vanessa Cottin secured the doubles point for K-State with an 8-4 decision over Alyssa Palen and Caitlin Loprinzi.
Junior Katerina Kudlackova snapped an eight-match skid with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Loprinzi. This was Kudlackova’s first straight set win since Feb. 16. Also ending an extended losing streak was Vieira with a straight set win at number five singles (6-4, 6-2).
This was the first home win for the Wildcats since March 28 over
