Wildcats Snap Skid; Beat Cyclones, 5-2
The Wildcats (3-11, 1-4 Big 12) won for the first time since Feb. 16, and pushed their winning streak over Iowa State 13 consecutive matches with the win at Ames Racquet and Fitness Club.
The Wildcats won at the top three positions in singles play with Viviana Yrureta, Fernanda Da Valle and Tamar Kvaratskhelia all earning straight set victories.
Klimova snapped a personal 10-match skid after outlasting Danielle Uscinski at No. 5 singles, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1. Katerina Kudlackova and Natasha Vieira were the only Wildcats to lose in singles play on Wednesday.
