MANHATTAN, Kan. – No. 61 Kansas State will begin a four-match home stand on Friday and Sunday, as the Wildcats host No. 18 Oklahoma and No. 23 Oklahoma State, respectively. Both matches are set for a 1 p.m., first serve at the new Mike Goss Tennis Stadium - weather permitting. If Friday’s match against Oklahoma is played at Mike Goss Tennis Stadium, it will be the first dual match played at the new facility. Admission for the two matches is free.

Last weekend, K-State (8-6, 2-0 Big 12) saw its three-match win streak halted at UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, March 22. The Wildcats dropped the match to the Gauchos, 4-3, with K-State forced to forfeit at number six singles due to injuries to its roster.

During the match on Saturday, senior Petra Niedermayerova captured her 100th career singles win with a straight set victory. The two-time Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American and the three-time All-Big 12 First Team selection is the first Wildcat to reach 100 career singles wins and owns a career record of 100-38 (.725), which includes a mark of 62-15 from the top position in the K-State lineup.

For the season, Niedermayerova has led K-State from the top of the lineup. Ranked No. 56 in the national ITA singles rankings, Niedermayerova owns a team-leading record of 20-5 in singles including an 11-1 record this spring. With her win on Saturday, Niedermayerova secured her fourth straight 20-win season and is the first Wildcat to reach this milestone.

K-State has been led in doubles action this spring by the tandem of Niedermayerova and junior Amina St. Hill. Niedermayerova and St. Hill ran their record together to 7-1 this spring with a win over UCSB’s top duo. In her career, Niedermayerova is second in the program’s history with a mark of 72-45 (.615). She needs two doubles wins to secure K-State’s career doubles record.

Following this weekend’s matches, the Wildcats will conclude its four-match home stand on April 5-6 against No. 22 Texas and No. 16 Baylor. Both matches are slated for an 11 a.m., first serve at the new Mike Goss Tennis Stadium.

Niedermayerova Strong at Home in Her Career  
K-State’s Petra Niedermayerova is charging toward the 100-win mark for career singles wins during her time with the Wildcats, which includes a sterling mark in matches played at home in Manhattan and Wamego.

Niedermayerova owns a 21-7 mark in matches played at home including an 8-2 record in her freshman season of 2010-11. Niedermayerova has played every match of her career from the number one position in the K-State lineup.

High Octane Petra Captures 100th Career Win  
Petra Niedermayerova has led the Wildcats from the front of the singles lineup since stepping on the K-State campus in 2010 and will look to conclude her career with a third ITA All-American honor. Niedermayerova, ranked No. 56 in the latest ITA national singles rankings (as of March 25), owns a 20-5 record this season including four wins over ranked opponents. She has won in 14 of her last 16 matches.     
Niedermayerova, the first two-time ITA All-American in school history, enters her final campaign with the Wildcats as the career singles wins leader with a record of 100-38 (.725). She is the first player in school history to reach 100 career singles wins. Her career singles winning percentage of .725 ranks second in program history. She is the 11th player among the original members of the Big 12 to reach 100 career singles wins since the formation of the league in 1996-97.  

For the 2013-14 season, Niedermayerova is 20-5 (.800) which is She has registered four straight seasons of 20 or more wins and is the first player in school history to achieve the feat. Her 32 wins in the 2012-13 season set a school record for singles wins in a season.

The product of Brno, Czech Republic, owns a 62-15 mark in dual matches, including a Big 12 mark of 23-8, from the number one position.
