WACO, Tex. Kansas State was issued an unfriendly return to Big 12 competition and was swept by the defending conference champion Baylor Bears, 7-0, on Saturday at the Baylor Tennis Center.

Baylor (10-6, 4-1 Big 12) took the doubles point by winning two of three matches and cruised through singles competition, winning all six positions in straight sets.

Kansas State’s (2-7, 0-2 Big 12) lone win of the afternoon came when Olga Klimova and Katerina Kudlackova won their doubles match at No. 2 because Baylor’s team was disqualified. Klimova and Kudlackova were in a close match with No. 55-ranked Lenka Broosova and Klara Zrustova and needed one point to tie the match before the Wildcats were awarded the match.

Kansas State has dropped its last six matches and is winless in two attempts at Big 12 competition. The Wildcats dropped to 3-12 all-time against Baylor, including an 0-9 mark in Waco.

K-State faces TCU on Monday in Fort Worth and are on the road for the next four matches before closing with five of the final seven at home.
