MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State tennis team will spend the beginning portion of its Spring Break in Provo, Utah, when it plays No. 43 Brigham Young University at BYU Courts on Friday, March 15.

The No. 47 nationally-ranked Wildcats are 7-3 overall and 3-1 in the Big 12 this season. Brigham Young enters the match 5-7 overall and 1-0 in the Mountain West Conference.

Kansas State had its five-match winning streak snapped this past weekend and look to capture its eighth victory of the season and its first win over the Cougars in 11 matches.

BYU leads the series with Kansas State, 11-0, and the Wildcats are 0-6 in Provo. In last year's match, Kansas State close to winning its first match in the series but lost 4-3 in Manhattan.

For the Wildcats, freshman Maria Rosenberg remains as the only 'Cat undefeated in Big 12 singles play. She stands at 4-0 in league play and has a 7-2 record at No. 4 singles.

Junior Petra Sedlmajerova sports a 7-1 spring singles record at No. 3 and has won eight of her last nine matches. Against BYU last year, Sedlmajerova beat Dominique Reynolds 6-4, 6-2.

In doubles, the No. 2 team of senior Kathy Chuda and Sedlmajerova are 8-2 and has won seven of its last eight matches.

The Cougars are led by a trio of juniors at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles spots. Lu Oswald has an 11-8 overall record at No. 3, Liza Khoudoiarova sports a 13-6 mark at No. 4 and Reynolds a 10-9 record at No. 5 singles.
