Kansas State's Sedlmajerova Named Big 12 Tennis Player Of The Week

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State junior Petra Sedlmajerova garnered the first Big 12 Tennis Player of the Week honor today.
Sedlmajerova, K-State's No. 3 singles player, added to her seven-match winning streak with league victories last week over Colorado's Kate Lutgert and Texas Tech's Alenka Ovin. The national standout from Usti Nad Labem, Czech Republic, is undefeated in the No. 3 position at 6-0 overall and has a 2-0 mark in Big 12 play.
Sedlmajerova also teamed with senior Kathy Chuda for a 7-1 overall record at No. 2 doubles and a 2-0 mark in league action. The duo went 3-0 in last week's dual matches.
Kansas State returns to action this weekend when it hosts Oklahoma and Oklahoma State on Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m. both days. The Wildcats are 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the Big 12 this season.
