WICHITA, Kan. Kansas State’s upset bid of No. 71 Wichita State was set back on Saturday night at Wichita Country Club, as the Shockers defeated the Wildcats, 6-1. K-State is now 2-2 on the season, while Wichita State moves to 6-1.

K-State secured its lone win on the night with a singles win by freshman Nina Sertic. The product of Zagrab, Croatia, recovered from a first set loss to win in three over Stephanie, Dalmacio, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). Sertic ended a two-match skid and is now 3-4 in her young K-State career.

Kansas State will conclude its four-match road trip on Sunday at 9 a.m. against Arkansas-Little Rock. The match will be played at Crestview Country Club in Wichita.
