Rosenberg Named To Preseason All-Big 12 Women's Singles Team
DALLAS Kansas State junior Maria Rosenberg was recently named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Conference Women’s Singles Tennis Team as announced by the league office.
Rosenberg, ranked No. 12 regionally in singles by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), was the only Wildcat to receive preseason all-conference honors. The Manhattan, Kan., native (Manhattan HS) is currently 2-0 on the season playing at the No. 1 singles spot for the 33rd-ranked Wildcats (1-1).
Oklahoma’s Anda Perianu was named Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year, while Texas A&M’s Helga Vieira earned Newcomer of the Year honors. Preseason Freshman of the Year honors went to Petra Dizdar of Texas. The preseason all-conference selections were chosen by a vote of the league’s coaches.
