MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State tennis team lost four matches Sunday in the final day of action at the eighth annual Arizona State/Thunderbirds Collegiate Invitational at The Whiteman Tennis Center.

Freshman Jessica Simosa lost in the finals of the consolation bracket, 6-2, 6-1 to Joslynn Burkett of Arizona State. Junior Hayley McIver fell to Susie Abromeit of Duke, 7-6 (5), 6-1 and sophomore Maria Rosenberg lost to Lauren Colallilo of Arizona State, 6-1, 6-4 in other consolation matches.

In an extra match played, sophomore Andrea Cooper lost to Mhairi Brown of Arizona State, 6-4, 6-2.

Kansas State returns to action Jan. 24 when it hosts Brigham Young University.
