MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State senior rower Nicole Vogt was recognized for work in the classroom Friday being named to the 2010 Conference USA Rowing All-Academic Team. Vogt was one of 16 student-athletes to receive the award voted on by the league's sports information directors. All nine C-USA rowing schools were represented on the list as well.
Vogt is a senior architectural engineering major with a 3.71 GPA and rows in the 1st Varsity 8 boat for the Wildcats. The All-Academic Team consists of student-athletes with at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and are a key contributor to their teams.
The Wildcats are set to compete in the C-USA Rowing Championship in conjunction with the Aramark South/Central Regional in Oak Ridge, Tenn., beginning Saturday with finals set for Sunday.
