Varsity Four Moves On To Semifinals at SIRA's


 

 
 

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. After the first day of competition, Kansas State’s Varsity Four moved on to the semifinals of the two-day Southern IRA’s held Friday on Melton Hill Lake.

 

The Wildcat crew comprised of coxswain Melissa Cessna, Veronica Noonan, Rachel Freeman, Bailey Bunck and Jennifer Reuss, topped Wake Forest, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, Texas and Embry-Riddle in their respective heat, for a spot in tomorrow’s semifinals at 9:44 a.m. (ET). The top two finishers will then move on to the B final at 4:18 p.m. (ET).

 

In its only scheduled race of the day, K-State was one of 27 collegiate crews entered in the Women’s Varsity Four competition.

 

The Wildcats continue championship racing tomorrow with the semifinals and finals to be conducted in the Women’s Varsity Eight, Women’s JV Eight and Women’s Novice Eight.
