Rowers Look to Three-Peat at Kansas Cup
The Wildcats are going for their third consecutive win over the Jayhawks in the annual event.
"As always, going head to head with KU gives that extra lift in our racing progress and learning," said head coach Patrick Sweeney. “The two programs (KU and K-State) again appear to be fairly evenly matched, which should make for an interesting day of racing. Our athletes are in god physical shape and are making the most of every opportunity they get to race and are learning from every race. I expect them to take another step forward this weekend.”
Last season, the Wildcats’ First Novice Eight defeated KU by seven seconds while the 2V8+ won by nine seconds and the Varsity Four edged out the Jayhawks by one second.
