MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State Women’s golf program has announced the signing of Whitney Pyle to a National Letter of Intent. Pyle, who currently attends Blue Valley West, will join a squad which will return two current juniors, two sophomores and four freshmen.

Pyle was the 2008 6A state champion and winner of the 2008 Lawrence Invitational where she shot a 73 at Lawrence’s Alvamar Golf Club. Pyle boasts a career low round of 71 in the Blue Valley Cup.

“I am excited to add Whitney to our program,” said head coach Kristi Knight. “She is just starting to develop as a golfer. She has a natural, solid golf swing and a big heart. She proved that this fall at the 6A State championship. She is a nice young lady who will represent K-State in the best way and she loves to play golf and compete.”
