K-State Women's Golf Announces Signee for 2012-13

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State women's golf team announced the signing of Scotland Preston to a National Letter of Intent (NLI) for the 2012-13 season. Preston is currently a senior fromMountainside N.J., attending Governor Livingston High School.
Head coach Kristi Knight is bringing in the 2011 New Jersey High School State Champion and Player of the Year, and the 2011 New Jersey Women's State Amateur Champion.
"We are excited about adding Scotland to our program," Knight said. "Her love of golf and the pursuit of getting better makes her a great fit for K-State. I have no doubt Scotland will have a positive impact on and off the course for K-State women's golf in the next four years."
Preston has recorded four AJGA top-10 finishes and made the 2010 and 2011 New Jersey PGA All-State Team. She has competed in local, state and national events, having success at every level.
Preston is also heavily involved in organizations off the course as she is a member of the National Honor Society and the Math and Spanish National Honor Society, while she also plays clarinet in her high school concert band and volunteers for Relay for Life.
