ROGERS, Ark. Sophomore Kali Quick fired a 3-over par 75, to lead Kansas State in the first round of the Tyson/Embassy Suites Invitational held at the Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Ark. Fellow sophomore Michelle Regan added a 4-over 76, in the early round. K-State currently holds the eighth position in the tournament, turning in a score of 306.
Host team Arkansas leads the tournament by seven strokes, ending the day three over par with a team score of 291. Nebraska secured the second position of the day, turning in a 10-over 298.
Four players finished below par for the day. Kansas’ Amanda Costner leads all individuals with a two-under par score of 70. Team-leader Arkansas has three players in the top 10, with Courtney Mahon leading her team with a score of 71.
