Wildcats in Third After Two Rounds at Sunflower Invitational


 

 
 

LAWRENCE, Kan.-  Kansas State women’s golf completed two rounds of play on Monday at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational at Alvamar Golf and Country Club in third place. K-State (321-323-- 644) trails only host Kansas (319-311--630) and Iowa State (322-316--638). Pacing the Wildcats on the leaderboard is Kali Quick with a two round total of 155.

Quick was tied for third after the first round of play, carding a five-over-par 77. Quick remained consistent in her second round, notching a six-over-par 78 to finish with a 155. The freshman from Nampa, Idaho has a career best finish of 19th at the Jeannine McHaney Invitational on September 24-26 in Lubbock, Texas.

Other Wildcats on Monday’s leaderboard are sophomore Helene Robert in a tie for 15th (82-79--161), senior Sarah Heffel is tied for 20th (78-85--163), freshman Michelle Regan (84-82--166) is tied for 29th and senior Stephanie Limoges (84-84--168) is tied for 33rd.

The final round begins early Tuesday morning at Alvamar Golf and Country Club.
