Quick in fifth after 18 holes at Jeannine McHaney Invitational
LUBBOCK, Texas - Freshman Kali Quick is tied for fifth at the Jeannine McHaney Invitational. During the first round, Quick carded an even 72. As the second round was cancelled for rain, Kansas State sits tied for 14th going into Sunday’s final 18 holes. Southern Methodist leads the field with a first-round 291. Arkansas’s Stacy Lewis heads up the individual leader board with a 68. Competing as an individual, freshman Michelle Regan had the Wildcats’ second-best round as she recorded a 78, tying for 52nd. The rest of the Wildcat squad shot between five and 14 over par, led by Helene Robert’s 79. The Wildcats continue play at the Jeannine McHaney Invitational Sunday in Lubbock, Texas. The tournament, scheduled to play 54-holes, will be cut to a 36-hole event. The final 18 will shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
