Staffordshire, England - Kansas State women's golfer Ami Storey fired back to back rounds of even par 72 to finish seventh out of 120 competitors at the Ladies English Amateur Championship held at Whittington Heath Golf Club.
Storey's even-par rounds came on the heels a first round score of 2-over par 74 and a 3-over par 75 in the second round. The Woodlands Park, UK, native advanced up the leaderboard with her third and fourth round scores to conclude with a final tally of 5-over par 293.
Julie Yang, a 15-year old competitor from Korea, won the event with a score of 4-under par 284.
Storey, who earned her highest ever finish in the English Amateur, earned one top-20 finish during his sophomore campaign. In 27 rounds last season, she recorded a 77.88 stroke average.
K-State begins the fall season at the Chip-N-Club Invitational, September 13, in Lincoln, Neb.
