MANHATTAN, Kan. A trio of Kansas State women’s golfers finished in the top 10 in the Collegiate Players Tour (CPT)/Manhattan Collegiate Open, Tuesday and Wednesday, at the par 70 Manhattan Country Club.
Abbi Sunner, a junior-to-be, used a first-round of even-par 70 the second-lowest round of the event to fuel a third-place finish at 13-over 223 (70-75-78).
Manhattan natives and sophomores-to-be Elise and Emily Houtz finished within four strokes of each other. Elise, who has already won at CPT even this summer, placed fifth at 17-over 227 (78-75-74), while Emily tied for sixth at 21-over 231 (79-72-80).
Jennifer Clark of Kansas City, Kan., carded a 2-under 68 in the first round en route to a winning score of 7-over par 217 (68-76-73).
