Regan Qualifies for US Amateur
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - With an 18-hole score of 75, Kansas State junior-to-be Michelle Regan qualified for the US Women's Amateur on Friday at Indian Hills Country Club. Regan, the Prairie Village, Kan., native, was two strokes off the pace set by Jill Marcum of Clarinda, Iowa. Regan was just one of six golfers to advance to the US Women's Amateur from the Kansas City qualifier. During her sophomore campaign this past season, Regan recorded a 77.50 stroke average with four top-20 finishes. Her best finish on the year came at the Suzie Maxwell Classic where she finished tied for 10th. Regan will compete in the 2006 US Women's Amateur, Aug. 7-13, at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains, Ore. |
