Norman, Okla. - Two Wildcat golfers are in the top 5 following the first two rounds of the Susie Maxwell Classic Monday. Senior Christine Boucher is tied for third, shooting 73-73--146, while senior Stephanie Limoges is in fifth with rounds of 76-72--148.

K-State is in third with a two-round total of 615, behind leading Oklahoma (602) and second-place Southern Methodist (608). After a first-round 315, the Wildcats pulled together to shoot the second-lowest round of the day with a 300. Oklahoma's second-round 294 is thus-far the tournament's best.

Senior Karen Quintelier, competing as an individual lit up the greens Monday to sit tied for 11th place after the first day of competition. Her two rounds of 76 put her at 8-over 152. Quintelier is the third-highest Wildcat in competition.

Limoges stepped up for the Wildcats today, proving herself with her best start of the season. In the first two rounds of the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational at Colbert Hills Oct. 13-14, Limoges shot 79-74 to eventually finish tied for ninth. She then competed as an individual but earned a starting position after that tournament.

Boucher is in position to earn her eighth top-five finish of the season should she continue to play the same golf she played Monday. The Wildcats are also primed to finish in the top five for the seventh time in the year's 10 tournaments.
