BRYAN, Texas - Freshman Kali Quick is tied for 11th place after the first two rounds of the Texas A&M Mo’Morial Monday. Her two rounds of 78-79--157 leads Kansas State, which is in 13th place going into the final 18 holes.

Host Texas A&M is in first place by nine strokes, followed by in-state rivals Southern Methodist, Baylor and Texas Christian. Kent State rounds out the top five. Illinois State’s Samantha Richdale leads the individual rankings as she carded a combined 148 on the day. Quick has emerged as K-State’s leader, with a 76.7 stroke average on the year and three top-20 finishes. She parred 19 holes and birdied two in the first two rounds of the Mo’Morial.

The defending champion Wildcats carded scores of 328-326--654. Sophomore Helene Robert is tied for 43rd place with a combined 163, though she averages only 76.3 strokes per round through the five fall tournaments. The Heffel sisters are two strokes apart on the day, as senior Sarah is tied for 52nd with a 166 and sophomore Katy is tied for 58th with a 168. Senior Stephanie Limoges carded a 174 to tie for 74th over the 36 holes.
