K-State Improves in Third Round of Central District Invitational


 

 
 

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State improved in the third round of the Central District Invitational to finish 14th Tuesday. The Wildcats’ third-round 300 was 21 strokes better than the first two rounds.

 

Missouri won the tournament with a 15-over 879 and Arkansas’ Stacy Lewis and Michigan’s Amy Schmucker tied for the individual title with a three-round 216.

 

Freshman Kali Quick led the Wildcats as she tied for 26th with a combined 227. Sophomores Katy Heffel and Helene Robert both improved nine spots to finish tied for 44th and tied for 60th, respectively. Senior Stephanie Limoges shot a third-round 76 to improve to a tie for 68th and senior Sarah Heffel finished 74th with a combined 253.
