Wildcats Wrap Up Central District Invitational
“We played poorly,” head coach Kristi Knight said. “(It was a) combination of poor execution around and on the green, and we had hard time with competitive focus. We will be better the next time out.”
Senior Hailey Mireles paced the Wildcats by shooting a 22-over par 238, tying her for 48th.
Senior Kali Quick and sophomore Abbi Sunner were right on her heels. Quick tied for 56th after firing a 25-over par 241. Meanwhile, Sunner was a stroke back at 26-over par 242 and finishing in a tie for 58th.
After opening Monday with a round of 90, senior Michelle Regan managed to shoot a pair of rounds in the 70s to end the tournament. She totaled a 30-over par 246 and brought home 67th place. Sophomore Morgan Moon improved every round and was six strokes back at 36-over par 252.
K-State’s next tournament is the UNLV Spring Invitational on March 10-12 in
