Wildcats Finish Up Day One Play
“We hit a bump in the road today,” head coach Kristi Knight said. “But I’m confident they are going to go out and attack it tomorrow and be energetic and do some good things. We’re going to go from there. Today is done. Tomorrow is ahead of us it’s a new day.”
Hailey Mireles was the top Wildcat finisher on Monday, tying for 43rd after posting a 14-over par 158. Abbi Sunner bounced back from an opening round 84 to fire a 76 and stand in 54th heading into Tuesday.
Kali Quick shot a 20-over par 164 to land in a tie for 63rd. Michelle Regan improved 13 strokes from her first to second round score to finish the day at 23-over par 167, good enough for 68th. Morgan Moon was in 71st after a 27-over par 171.
“Tomorrow, the goal is to go out and play with more energy and with joy,” Knight said. “Be yourself, and go out and play. I think they are determined to go out tomorrow and shoot some good scores.”
