DALLAS, Texas - Inclement weather has forced officials to cancel the third and final round of the SMU/Dallas Athletic Club Invitational at the par-72, 6,264-yard Dallas Athletic Golf Club.

After an hour delay prior to the first tee shot of the day due to lightning, players got up to three holes in before the horn sounded again to halt play. It is the second time this season that the Kansas State women's golf team has had 18 holes cancelled due to weather.

The Wildcats were led by junior Olivia Eliasson, who carded a 2-over par 146 en route to a tie for second place overall, the highest finish for a Wildcat this season. Her second top-five finish of the season placed her ahead of seven of the top-50 ranked players in the NCAA.

"This is a strong field, I am proud of Olivia's performance," head coach Kristi Knight said. "She continues to improve -- she has spent extra time on her putting and it shows."

As a team, the Wildcats carded 16 birdies en route to a tie for 10th with a two round score of 44-over par 620. K-State tied or placed ahead of four higher ranked teams, including 37th ranked Kent State.

Senior Gianna Misenhelter carded three birdies in the shortened tournament en route to a tie for 37th with a two round score of 11-over par 155.

After a rough first round, junior Carly Ragains shot 10 strokes better in round two to move up 19 positions to finish at 14-over par 158, good for a tie for 54th overall.

Rounding out the scoring lineup for the Wildcats was freshman Katherine Gravel-Coursol, who improved seven strokes from her round one score, to finish in a tie for 64th overall. Her teammate, Scotland Preston finished in in 80th with a 20-over par 164.

Baylor led the team scoring with a two round score of 15-over par 591, while Elizabeth Mallett of North Carolina took home the individual title with a 3-under par 141.

The Wildcats will be back in action April 25-27, as they head to Austin, Texas, for the Big 12 Championship at the University of Texas Golf Course.
