Western Squad Takes Title Saturday


 

 
 

Kewannee, Ill. - Behind the performances of Lindsey Salsbury and Lindsey Hicks, the Kansas State equestrian squad upped its leading standing in the regional ranks with a first place finish in the first of two Western shows at Blackhawk College. The Wildcats took first in the team standings with 33 points, while Blackhawk College and Missouri State tied for second with 20 points.

 

Individually, Salsbury was named the High Point Rider Saturday, while Hicks was named the Reserve High Point Rider. Five Wildcats, Kara Taddiken, Emily Wolfe, Michelle Schneider, Lindsey Salsbury and Lindsey Hicks all took home first place finishes in their respective classes to lead Kansas State.

 

The Wildcats conclude the weekend with an 8 a.m. Western show Sunday at Blackhawk College.
