English equestrian team to host show on November 13-14
Manhattan, Kan. - After a successful showing at the season opener, the english equestrian team will look to repeat their success at the Kansas State Hunt Show when they play host to nine schools in the region this weekend at Fox Creek Stables.
The first show on Saturday is set to begin at 8 a.m., and the following show will start at 2 p.m. On Sunday, the Wildcats will return to action at 9 a.m. Kansas State will compete against Southwest Missouri State, Northwest Missouri State, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, Drake, Truman State, Washburn, and Southern Illinois. The team finished strong at Northern Illinois by claiming High Point Team honors at both shows. On day one, Kansas State took first place with 37 points, while the team finished with 36 points overall on day two. In addition, senior Allison Woodworth captured the title of High Point Rider on day one after placing first in Open Over Fences B and Open Flat A. On day two of competition, senior Dehlia Burdan received Reserve High Point Rider honors after a ride-off against a rider from Southern Illinois. Burdan placed first in Open Over Fences A and Open Flat B. |
