Kansas State riders to compete in Western shows at Texas A&M this weekend
Nov. 8, 2001 Manhattan, Kan. - The Kansas State women's equestrian team will travel to College Station, Texas, to compete in a two-show Western event Saturday and Sunday at Texas A&M. Kansas State will compete against West Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and host Texas A&M, all of which will field complete teams. Individuals from Sul Ross State (Texas) and Southeastern Oklahoma State will also be competing. The competition field will be nearly identical to that of the two Western shows K-State hosted in October, when the Wildcats took home high-point team honors. K-State senior co-captain Kelly Gratny was named home-point rider at both of the K-State shows, winning the reining event both days. Saturday and Sunday's shows are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m, and complete results will be available on the Texas A&M Web site at sports.tamu.edu at the completion of each event.
