KSU Hosts Hunt Shows

MANHATTAN, Kan. The Kansas State equestrian team, coming off an off-week, will host its first Hunt shows of the season as members of the English squad welcome 10 teams to Fox Creek Stables Saturday. The lineup includes riders from K-State, Iowa State, Augustana, Northern Illinios, Southern Illinios, Illinios Wesleyan, Illinios State, Missouri State, Truman State, Washington, and Northwestern.

The first show will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday with the final show beginning one hour after the completion of the first show. The English squad, which leads in the current zone and region standings, has placed first in all shows this season as they enter the first home Hunt shows of the season.

“This will be our last hunt seat show of the season,” head coach Teresa Slough said. “We're currently leading the region by 26 points after two shows. We're riding well and we'd like to increase that lead, but more importantly, we want to improve our riding skills with every show of the regular season. That's what it will take to win our region and be competitive in post-season competition.”
