Outside the Arena with Jen Rawle and Mikaela Sundgren
Name: Jennifer Rawle Years on the Team: 2nd Discipline: Hunter Seat Hometown: Katy, Texas Major: Family Studies with a Business minor Riding Background (before college): I had been riding for 11 years before I came to Kansas State. I showed all over Texas in the Texas Hunter/Jumper Association while also showing locally in the Houston area. I have competed in Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation. Why I chose K-State: I love the atmosphere of Manhattan and the K-State campus. The people in the area are so friendly, and I could not wait to be part of the Kansas State Equestrian team! My favorite part about being a member of the KSUET: It is awesome to be able to go to school while also riding. Plus I could never ask for a greater group of girls to call my teammates! Everyone is so supportive of one another, and it is nice to always have someone there if you need anything. Favorite Manhattan restaurant: La Fiesta The last book I read: Signs of Success If I could have any superpower it would be: I wish I could fly. Favorite TV show: “How It’s Made” Favorite Holiday: Christmas The last song I downloaded: “Who I Am” by Wade Bowen Plans after graduation: I would like to stay in Kansas and work in a Human Resources Department for a corporation or small business.
Year in School: Junior Year on the Team: 3rd Discipline: Western Hometown: El Dorado, KS Major: Animal Science, Pre-Vet Riding Background (before college): I competed in American Quarter Horse Association horse shows and received multiple AQHYA World Show Top Ten and Finalist placings. Why I chose K-State: I chose K-State because almost everybody in my family has graduated from here. My favorite part about being a member of the KSUET: Meeting new people and being able to continue showing horses throughout college. Favorite Manhattan restaurant: 4-Olives If I could have any superpower it would be: I would want to be able to fly. Favorite TV show: “CSI” Favorite Holiday: Christmas Plans after graduation: To attend graduate school. |
