The Kansas State English equestrian team finished tied for first with Iowa State in a field of eight teams. Assistant Coach Meghan Cunningham said, “You can’t win them all, but we’ll take the tie. Our girls rode well, but the judging was very inconsistant.”

In open fences Allison Woodworth placed third and Dehlia Burdan placed fourth. Janelle Orr placed first in intermediate fences, Jenae Grossart placed second in novice fences, section A and Kelli Wilson placed third in novice fences, section B. In open flat Casey Finnell, Dehlia Burdan and Allison Woodworth placed first, second and fourth respectively. In advanced walk, trot, canter, Danielle Ostrowski placed first, Jess Gittleman placed third and Mica Becker placed fourth. Brett Beale placed second in intermediate flat, while Janelle Orr took third. In walk, trot Rachel Etken placed fourth and Kelli Wilson placed first in intermediate flat section B. In novice flat, Bridgett Flemming placed first and Summer Hamil placed third.

“Today was a little rougher then yesterday,” Beale, english captain said. “Everyone rode their best, but the chips didn’t fall our way.”
