Kate Chesley enters her second year with the K-State equestrian team, and her first year as a graduate assistant. The 2010 graduate of New Mexico State University brings a high level of knowledge and experience to the K-State equestrian program. An El Paso, Texas native, Chesley's primary duties include assisting with horse care and maintenance, providing administrative assistance and providing all aspects of assistance for home and away competitions. Prior to her time in Manhattan, Chesley rode for the NMSU equestrian team from 2005-09, where she qualified for the 2009 Varsity Equestrian National Championships as an individual in Horsemanship and Reining, placing in the Top-4 in both events. Additionally, she was a highly-decorated amateur rider where she garnered the 1997 NRHA 13 & Under Reining Hi-Point Champion honors in the state of New Mexico, the 2003 NMSF All-Breed High Point Youth Championship and the 2005 SWQHA Youth All-Around Championship, to go along with numerous other awards. |
