MANHATTAN, Kan. - Team USA's first preliminary game of the 2002 Confederation of Pan American Basketball Associations (COPABA) World Championship For Young Women Qualifying Tournament against Venezuela has had a time change. The squad will play at 12:30 p.m. CT Wednesday instead of 10 a.m. due to the Dominican Republic withdrawing from the tournament.

Additionally, the USA will not compete on July 18, which was the day the U.S. was to face the Dominican Republic. The USA's pool, Group A, now contains only three teams - U.S., Argentina and Venezuela.

Kansas State's Nicole Ohlde is leading Team USA in scoring and rebounding, averaging 16.5 points and 11.5 rebounds. She is also shooting 68.1 percent from the field and is playing a team-leading 30 minutes per game. Fellow Wildcat and Team USA captain Laurie Koehn is averaging 4.5 points, 1.5 rebounds and 12.5 minutes an outing.

Team USA enters Wednesday's preliminary game against Venezuela with a 2-0 record in exhibition play. The squad beat Brazil's Young Women Team, 89-56, on Sunday and Brazil's National Team, 66-57, on Monday.
