MANHATTAN, Kan. Kansas State women’s basketball junior guard Chelsea Domenico is recovering well after suffering a minor neck strain and bruised nose after going up for a rebound and catching a forearm to the head in the first half of play at Nebraska Saturday.

As a precaution, Domenico was carried out of the Bob Devaney Sports Center on a stretcher by medical personnel with her neck braced. She was examined at a local hospital in Lincoln and was later released to travel back with the team to Manhattan. Domenico, the team’s starting point guard, played only seven minutes against the Huskers with two rebounds.
