MANHATTAN, Kan. - Next Wednesday, Jan. 25, the Kansas State athletic department will celebrate the 26th anniversary of National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWISD) as the No. 23/22 Kansas State women's basketball team takes on Iowa State in Bramlage Coliseum at 7 p.m.
NGWISD is celebrated in all 50 states with community-based events, award ceremonies and activities honoring the achievements and encouraging participation of girls and women in sports.
K-State will provide any youth basketball player age 14 and under wearing their team jersey with a free general admission ticket to the game between the Wildcats and Cyclones. Beginning at 6 p.m., on the Bramlage Coliseum concourse, there will be meet and greets and demonstrations with K-State student-athletes and coaches from the K-State women's track and cross country teams, the women's golf team, equestrian, rowing and volleyball.
Tickets for the Jan. 25 contest between K-State and Iowa State can be purchased through the K-State Athletic Ticket Office. Chairback seats are available for $12, while reserved bench seating is $9, general admission is $8 and general admission youth tickets are $5.
