MANHATTAN, Kan. – For a fourth consecutive season, the Kansas State men’s golf team has been honored by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as an All-Academic Team, the organization announced.

K-State was one of 92 Division I programs honored by the GCAA by obtaining a team GPA of at least 3.00 as the Wildcats were honored for the fourth time in the six-year history of the award. Kansas State was joined on the list by fellow Big 12 schools Baylor, Oklahoma and Texas Tech.

Last week, the GCAA named K-State’s Kyle Weldon and Daniel Wood to the Cleveland/Srixon All-America Scholars team. Additionally, five Wildcats – Wood, Weldon, David Klaudt, Tyler Norris and Alex Carney – were named Academic All-Big 12 performers for the 2013-14 season.

To be eligible for GCAA All-Academic Team honors, a college or university must submit the GPAs for each player on its official squad list for the academic year. A total of 141 teams from NCAA Divisions I, II and III, as well as the NAIA and junior colleges submitted GPAs of 3.00.
