MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State men's golfers Kyle Weldon and Daniel Wood were two of 75 Division I players named to the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars team, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced.

Wood was named to the team for a second-straight season, while Weldon is a first-time honoree. K-State, which was one of two Big 12 schools with multiple recipients, has had five All-America Scholars honors over the last three years.

Both First Team Academic All-Big 12 performers, Weldon and Wood enjoyed successful 2013-14 seasons on the links and in the classroom. Wood led the Wildcats with a 72.43 stroke average and placed in the top 20 six times, including a pair of top-five finishes, en route to an individual berth into the 2014 NCAA Columbia Regional. Weldon placed third on the team with a 73.64 stroke average and also accumulated six top-20 finishes, including a tie for sixth at the Desert Shootout.

To be eligible for the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar team at the Division I level an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.00 and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20.
