MANHATTAN, Kan. Kansas State men’s golf coach Tim Norris announced the signing of Chase Chamberlin to a National Letter of Intent for the 2008-09 season.
Chamberlin comes to K-State with an impressive prep career at Olathe South High School as he is a two-time Sunflower League individual champion after winning the event as a freshman and a senior, and also placed second as a junior. A four-time All-Olathe and All-Sunflower League performer, Chamberlin led his Falcons to a 2007 Kansas 6A team championship as he placed second as an individual.
“Chase is a well-rounded player who fits the mold of what we’re trying to do at Kansas State,” Norris said. “He has already accomplished so much in his young career, but I believe that his best golf is in front of him.”
A regional champion as a senior, Chamberlin was named 2008 Olathe Golfer of the Year and also earned Second Team All-Metro honors from the Kansas City Star.
