Cats Head to California to Start Spring
MANHATTAN, Kan. The Kansas State men’s golf team will be putting its No. 57 ranking on the line as it travels to the state of California for the third time this season for a match against the University of California Riverside. The Wildcats had one of the best fall seasons in school history and look to ride that success into the spring season. FALL SEASON RECAP: Heading into the fall season, the Wildcats had won just one tournament since 2003, but that quickly changed when the Wildcats were able to win their first tournament of the season at the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate. The success didn’t stop there as the Wildcats were able to place in the top-five in the next four tournaments with three second-place finishes during that stretch. HOST BIGHORN GOLF CLUB: The University of California Riverside will host the match at The Bighorn Golf Club. According to Bighorn’s official website Bighorn Golf Club has played host to such events as The Skins Game, The Battle at Bighorn, Senior PGA Match Play, and the LPGA Samsung World Championship. Bighorns two awe inspiring courses are known by many but experienced by only the fortunate few.
