BATON ROUGE, La. - The Kansas State men's golf team completed the first round of the LSU Spring Invitational in a three-way tie for 14th place with South Florida and Arkansas State at the par-72, 7,274-yard University Club. "We are definitely in a position right now where we can move up, and we had a pretty solid round today. The forecast calls for some Kansas-like weather tomorrow, and that should help us out as well." Sophomore Aaron Watkins posted the second-best score of the day for the Wildcats with a 1-over-par 73 to land in a tie for 44th. Senior Matt Williams is in a tie for 52nd with a 2-over-par score of 74, sophomore A.J. Elgert posted a 76 to tie for 70th, and sophomore Bryan Schweizer is tied for 88th with a 78.
